Donald A. "Don" Freeman

Senior Vice President, Business Information and Technology Solutions Division

Don Freeman is the Senior Vice President of the Business Information and Technology Solutions Division. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in April 2008. Mr. Freeman joined KGS in February 2008 as a Senior Account Executive within the Business Development Division responsible for growing business within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) market space.

Prior to joining KGS, Mr. Freeman held business development positions within the software industry for Analytical Graphics Incorporated and within the general SETA services for the Government Sector for L-3 Communications Incorporated, where he was a Vice President for Business Development for Government Services Incorporated. He also worked for Henkels and McCoy Incorporated, a family-owned construction company, where he focused on managing the National Accounts Division and was the General Manager of the Network Solutions and Services Operational Division, a 500+ person division at 25 locations across the US.

In 1998, Mr. Freeman retired from the United States Air Force as Colonel after a 26-year career. His final assignment was Director of Intelligence and Assistant Director of Operations for Air Force Space Command. He started his Air Force career as a Navigator/Electronic Warfare Officer on the B-52D and two versions of the long-range strategic reconnaissance RC-135 aircraft (Cobra Ball and Rivet Joint). He has over 2300 flying hours in combat aircraft. He has commanded three operational Air Force Units in Japan, Korea and Texas. During his career Mr. Freeman was heavily involved in intelligence support to many "black world" development programs for Tactical Air Command and for the Air Staff in the Pentagon.

Mr. Freeman is a graduate of the Air War College, earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alaska, and received Bachelors of Science in Industrial Technology from East Carolina University.
